ABOUT THE PRODUCT

RF and dipole probes for interference-free tests

Everything can be measured, you just need the right equipment

Do you want to find a reliable way of measuring RF signals? Through our supplier Ingun, we offer the largest range of RF test probes in the world.
RF and dipole probes are used in a variety of industries: The enable precise and repeatable measurement of RF performance and resistance.

RF test probes

In order to optimally satisfy the requirements of radio frequency testing, different versions of RF test probes are available. Selection criteria for choosing the appropriate RF test probe include the test point that is to be plugged, the frequency or data speed, the installation area (the space available for probe installation), and environmental conditions.
RF test probes are used to establish contact with plug connections, mini switches and PCB test points. These are used in the following ways:

  • Plug connections are used to connect a range of RF components, e.g. cables and PCB modules. In the automotive industry, sockets such as FAKRA or HSD switches are used to transfer sound and video signals. U.FL sockets are used in things such as radio modules.
  • Mini switches are used to test RF signals provided by chip antennas or PCB antennas.
  • PCB test points are structures on which RF signals can be switched directly on a PC board This is done in various ways depending on the nature of the PCB and the application.

Dipole probes

Thanks to their coaxial design, the dipole probes developed by INGUN are ideally suited to the implementation of 4-wire measurements. This makes it possible to measure voltage direct on the contact surface and the resistance that must be determined.
In addition, it is also possible to carry out a connection test on coaxial contacts.
Depending on the application, variable network sizes, tip sizes and dimensions are available. Dipole test probes are installed with a sleeve. The connection is made using either a switch or soldering the sleeve.
