Putty type pads

Putty type is a material that lies on the boundary between “liquid” paste and spring-back material. Its ductile characteristics is reminiscent of clay, but it also has a slight elasticity, which in itself means that a certain amount of compression pressure is retained after being pressed together. On the other hand, putty type pad material is an unusual combination of extremely high thermal conductivity and unmeasurable low value Shore OO. Putty type is ideal if the contact surface you want to transport heat away from is exposed to significant variations, e.g. a circuit board with pressure-sensitive components.
